See it in action

Clear, calm and quick

Everything your household needs, nothing it doesn't.

Features

A household budget app that does the typing for you

Track expenses together, keep to a budget and see where the money goes, without spreadsheets.

Payments from bank SMS

On Android, Kittle can read your bank and UPI SMS and show each payment as a card with the amount, shop and card filled in. Swipe right to add it, left to skip. Your SMS never leave your phone.

Budgets that keep you on track

Set one monthly budget for the household, or budgets for groceries, eating out and anything else you care about. Kittle suggests one from what you usually spend, and the bars turn amber and red as you get close.

Recurring bills

Mark rent, the phone bill or a subscription as recurring, every week, month, 3 months or year. Kittle adds it on its day for the whole household. Change or stop it any time.

Shared expenses, live

Invite your partner, family or flatmates with one link. Everyone adds on their own phone, and you all see the same numbers and who spent what.

Reports that make sense

Spending by category, by person and by card, UPI or cash. See how this month compares with your usual month, and export everything to CSV.

Any currency, even offline

Keep separate households for home, a trip or a shared flat, each in its own currency. Kittle works offline and syncs when you're back online.

How it works

Set up together in a minute

1

Create your household

Pick a name and a currency. Start right away, no sign-up needed.

2

Invite your people

Sign in, then send one link to your partner, family or flatmates. They tap it, sign in, and they're in.

3

Everyone adds, everyone sees

Each expense shows up on every phone, with who paid and what for.

Private by design

Your money is nobody's business.

Only the people you invite see your household. Kittle makes nothing from your data, so it has no reason to collect it.

  • ✓No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Not now, not later.
  • ✓No card or bank numbers. A payment method is just a nickname.
  • ✓Your SMS stay on your phone. Reading them is optional, and nothing from them is uploaded.
  • ✓Works offline, and syncs when you're back online.
  • ✓Delete everything from inside the app, any time.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Kittle really free?

Yes. Every feature is free, with no ads, no premium plan and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. Tap Get started and use Kittle on your own, with your data only on your phone. Sign in with Google or an email address when you want a backup or to share a household.

How do my partner and I track expenses together?

Create a household, sign in and share its link. Your partner taps it, signs in and joins. From then on you both add expenses on your own phones and see the same numbers, live.

Does Kittle read my SMS?

Only if you turn on Payments from SMS (Android). Kittle then looks for payments in your bank and UPI SMS on your phone. The messages are never uploaded or shared, and you can turn it off any time.

Can Kittle add rent and bills automatically?

Yes. Mark an expense as recurring (every week, month, 3 months or year) and Kittle adds it on its day for the whole household. Changing or stopping it never changes expenses already added.

Is there an iPhone app?

Kittle is on Android for now.

Which currencies does it support?

Any currency. Each household has its own, so you can track a trip in euros and home in rupees.
